Assistant Director, Healthy Ageing
As part of the Healthy Ageing Department, you will be responsible for leading a team to develop activities, either directly or in collaboration with partners, for robust and frail seniors in the community and Community Care sector to support frailty management and wellbeing in alignment with national healthcare directions.
· Identify and analyse key trends and development areas, data and collaborations required to meet the department’s vision of enhancing seniors’ quality of life and frailty status through activities
· Develop proposals/ministry-level papers to support activity provision and implementation in nationally identified activity gap areas at scale
· Research, develop and implement evidence/interest-informed activities for both robust and frailer seniors (emphasis: frailer seniors) especially to positively impact cognition either directly or via partners
· Develop and execute strategies to support Community Care service providers (e.g. Active Ageing Centres, Nursing Homes) in providing evidence/interest-informed activities for their clients (e.g. capability building).
· Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to gain buy-in and partnerships
· Project manage and evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of the initiatives and its impact on seniors
Job Requirements
- Degree in any discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience and 3 years in a managerial capacity (healthcare qualifications, e.g. Occupational Therapy, preferred)
- Able to manage multiple projects with excellent project management skills and to thrive under pressure in a fast-pace, dynamic environment
- Strong in programme management and evaluation, preferably in healthcare, eldercare and/or social services
- Self-motivated, resourceful with good problem-solving skills and a high level of initiative, responsibility and resilience
- Effective communicator (verbal, in writing) with good interpersonal skills and an interest to enhance care for seniors
