Assistant Manager, Capability Development
This role will assist with the development of dementia and mental health training programmes, in accordance with competency frameworks, to equip community care organisations and key stakeholders with knowledge and skills to support their clients with dementia and mental health needs.
- Conduct learning needs analysis for staff delivering dementia and mental health care in community care organisations.
- Research and review available training programmes in the dementia and mental health sector, including engaging with training providers.
- Collaborate with community care organisations and stakeholders to validate proposed training curricula and approaches.
- Develop and refine training courseware and resources aligned with dementia and mental health competency frameworks, by working closely with practitioners and experts.
- Evaluate and review training courses regularly to ensure they meet objectives and address sector learning needs
- Coordinate with training providers to ensure adequate supply and development of new courseware and e-learning modules for specialised topics.
- Design, implement, and assess pilot capability development initiatives for community mental health programmes.
- Support the development, updating, and adoption of competency frameworks, supervision guidelines, and training roadmaps through inter-agency collaborations and research.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related discipline, with preference for additional training qualifications such as ACTA/ACLP or DACE/DDLP
- At least 3 years’ experience in healthcare or training administration
- Prior experience in community care or mental health.
- Experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis and preparing research/ impact evaluation reports preferred.
- Able to work well with groups from diverse backgrounds
- Able to multi-task and possess strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- A self-starter with strong learning ability, who is resilient, adaptable and able to manage change and ambiguity
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
