Assistant Manager, Financial Management

 Job Description

To manage the company’s assets, grants, ensure compliance with company policies, and improve processes/ workflows. 

Grants

  • Work closely with division, funders, CCOs and other stakeholders to ensure that financial objectives are aligned with operational goals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on financial aspects of grant proposals and implementations.
  • Ensure that all the grant payments are processed by the bank and transactions are posted in the system
  • Track and report on financial metrics related to grant activities

Others

  • Co-ordinate and work closely with Divisions and Shared service for fixed assets, leases and sundry receipts
  • Review monthly accounts receivable, fixed assets and leases schedules 
  • Perform monthly fixed asset reconciliation and co-ordinate annual fixed asset sighting
  • Review, standardise and streamline fixed asset and accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies and funder requirements for the grant
  • Liaise and follow up with divisions on the transactions to be completed for month-end and financial year-end closing
  • Assist in preparation and submission of periodic and ad-hoc reports timely
  • Assist and prepare financial year-end audit, audit schedules for external audit and internal audit related requirements
  • Support on analysis and strategic finance matters, ad-hoc tasks and projects


Work Productivity and compliance

  • Support improvements on work efficiency, productivity and accuracy on its scope of work and/ or inter-related work
  • Establish and ensure compliance with company financial policies

Requirements

  • Degree in business or accountancy or equivalent with at least 4 years relevant work experience
  • Good audit experience (statutory/internal) and SAP are advantageous
  • Prior experience in handling Grant, FA of large organization
  • Good knowledge and understanding of financial reporting systems and financial processes
  • Proficient with the use of excel for financial reporting
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to build rapport with stakeholders
  • Pro-active, quality conscious, attentive to details and results oriented.
  • Good team player, able to work under pressure and deliver results under tight timelines
