Assistant Manager, Procurement

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with assigned Divisions to manage the procurement requirements via Request for Quotations (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) from requirements gathering to award stage but not limited to the named methods. 
  • Implement and provide suggestions and feedback on the appropriate policies, procedures and internal controls for procurement activities
  • Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on all procurement-related matters and ensure they are compliance with procurement policy and procedures
  • Lead contract negotiation and supplier management process to ensure quality, pricing and delivery objectives are met
  • Create and review reports for analytic purposes and identification of sourcing opportunities
  • Check and serve as procurement approver for purchases
  • Participate in process improvement projects to drive efficiency throughout the company

 

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree with at least 5 years of working experience in Procurement role, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience in sourcing for indirect purchasing
  • Experience in category management
  • Familiar with RFP/Tender requirement
  • Knowledge of SAP MM will be an added advantage
  • Highly proficient in MS office
  • Possess strong negotiation and influencing skills
