Manager, Data Analytics

  • Be part of the team that delivers timely business insights from operational data to internal and external stakeholders to inform business policy planning and make data-driven decisions.
  • Manage and perform data operations including data acquisition, wrangling and analysis of datasets by applying data tools and statistical methods, translating them to actionable insights 
  • Ensure timely provision of accurate information to AIC colleagues and external stakeholders.
    • Fulfil routine data requests and conduct ad hoc analyses as required by stakeholders, such as AIC Divisions, MOH, and RHS-es
  • Supervise complex data analytic projects that promote the adoption of a data-driven approach at AIC.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
    • Coordinate routine and ad hoc data analysis to support various work functions and projects.
    • Perform and provide guidance on data wrangling, analysis, and interpretation of complex datasets and geospatial information to answer operational questions.
    • Develop, maintain and/or improve dashboards, maps, and other visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
    • Support automation, text analytics, and machine learning projects to help enhance productivity.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in business analytics.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Advanced diploma or certificate in data analytics and programming will be added advantage.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in providing data support to business units preferably in health or social care settings.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory management experience.
  • Business-oriented and the ability to deliver quality service in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Proficient in data analysis software such as Python, Stata or R programming.
  • Proficient in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Good knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods.
  • Able to work well independently and in teams.
  • Able to perform and complete stretch tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Able to handle uncertainty and ambiguity and conduct analysis bearing in mind business objectives.
  • Effective in giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Attentive to detail and committed to data accuracy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; and
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects efficiently.
