Senior Manager, Capability Development, Health Models & Capability Development

This role will lead the implementation and evaluation of mental health training programmes, in accordance with the National Mental Health Competency Training Framework (NMHCTF), to equip frontline agencies, service providers and key stakeholders with mental health knowledge and skills to support their clients and address ground mental health needs.

 

  1. Manage the implementation of mental health training programmes, in accordance with the National Mental Health Competency Training Framework (NMHCTF), to equip frontline agencies, service providers and key stakeholders with mental health knowledge and skills to support their clients and address ground mental health needs:
     
  • Lead team to maintain oversight of the mental health training landscape by conducting regular desktop research on available training programmes and engagement with training providers.
  • Guide team to identify relevant training courses to meet the identified learning needs of various target groups and ensure adequate supply to meet sector’s demand.
  • Lead the regular review of training courses to ensure that listed courses have met their intended objectives, identify learning gap areas and provide recommendations to include/revise training courses, including the development of a training evaluation framework for training projects/ programmes.
  • Monitor progress with the key performance indicators, including the management and utilisation of the allocated budget.
  • Oversee the administration and procurement of training programmes including evaluating applications, establishing approval process with NMHO and maintain an up-to-date list of training programmes to facilitate sector learning. 

 

  1. Work closely with the National Mental Health Office (NMHO) to increase awareness of available mental health training programmes and improve access to training across all tiers of the NMHCTF, including the engagement of key stakeholders, and partnerships with training providers:

 

  • Lead engagements and partnerships with key stakeholders, including frontline agencies, mental health service providers, to keep up to date with learning needs and emerging trends. 
  • Develop and implement an outreach strategy to raise awareness and uptake of mental health awareness training courses.
  • Build partnerships with training providers to be familiar with training courses available and develop new ones to address training gaps
  • Support HOD to ensure sustainable financing and resourcing for training programmes by engaging of key stakeholders (both external and internal) to explore funding opportunities

 

This role is on 3 years contract, subject to renewal.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in training, education, business administration, human resource, or other related fields.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience with 3 years in managerial capacity
  • Experience in training administration, programme implementation and/or project management preferred.
  • Able to work well with groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to multi-task and possess strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • A self-starter with strong learning ability, who is resilient, adaptable and able to manage change and ambiguity.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
