Together, CRIS makes a positive difference to Singapore patients and researchers by ensuring that these clinical research platforms and programmes are at the cutting edge of capability development and innovation. If you are as passionate as we are in clinical trials and research, we want you!

Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE) is the central entity set up to coordinate a whole of government effort to implement Phase II of Singapore's National Precision Medicine (NPM) strategy. As part of this strategy, PRECISE and Singapore's leading research institutes have jointly developed the extensive PRECISE-SG100K resource, comprising rich biobank phenotypic and whole genome sequencing datasets. The PRECISE-SG100K Data Science Team is now working towards data curation, data analysis and data generation of the PRECISE-SG100K resource.

About the role

In Phase III of the National Precision Medicine (NPM) Program, PRECISE will undertake a work package to establish a Genomic Clinical Innovation Centre to develop and evaluate novel clinical services that will provide cost-effective improvements in health outcomes in Singapore. These could include:

1)   Development of new clinical pathways and genetic services (particularly those that require genetic counselling and cascade testing) for diseases that are not covered by national clinical programs for genetic diseases (currently only Familial Hypercholesterolemia is covered).

2)   Work with clinical laboratories in clusters to develop capacity to generate clinical genetic test reports to inform clinical care.

3)   Development and evaluation of novel models of genetic counselling to reduce manpower requirements in offering genetic testing.

4)   Development of novel models of behavioural change to improve uptake for genetic testing and consequently, the cost-effectiveness of genetic testing

5)   Evaluation of novel technologies for genetic testing including, but not limited to, rapid exomes or genomes for acutely ill patients or long-read sequencing.
