SCRI

The Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) is the national coordinating body (NCB) for clinical trials with a vision to establish Singapore as a regional thought leader in clinical research.  This is accomplished through the deployment of innovative technologies and processes, and strategic coordination of ecosystem capabilities and infrastructure to achieve synergies that will enhance the clinical research ecosystem aimed towards a healthier community and better patient outcomes.

 

The Role

Support SCRI in finance administration for grants awarded to SCRI to ensure effective compliance with grant finance governance, as well as in corporate budget and finance matters.

 

  1. Administer and manage finances for grants awarded directly to SCRI Track and manage grant expenditure for SCRI, verify quarterly claims for submission to grantor, track major grant administration milestones and coordinate with relevant stakeholders on follow-up action, prepare grant finance data for progress reports or upon request, and coordinate with CRIS Finance on grant finance matters.
  2. Administer and mange finances for pass-through grants awarded through SCRI to external research performers - Track and manage grant forecasts and expenditure of research performers, work with research performers to manage and collate quarterly claims for submission to grantors, track major grant administration milestones and coordinate with stakeholders on requisite action to be completed, prepare grant finance data for regular progress reports or upon requests, and develop and streamline grant finance processes with external research performers.
  3. Point of Contact with CRIS Finance and grantors on SCRI’s grant finance matters - Coordinate with CRIS Finance and grantors on matters related to SCRI budget and grants finance.
  4. Support SCRI in its corporate finance and budget matters - Support SCRI management and units in coordinating annual budget preparation and regular reporting requirements, track SCRI budget for utilisation and projections, coordinate with CRIS Finance on SCRI budget matters, and improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes related to SCRI finance and budget matters

 

Job Requirements

  1. Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  2. At least 5-7 years of experience in managing budgets and finances for research grants
  3.  Experience with managing grants awarded by national research grantors will be an advantage
