The Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC) aims to strengthen the overall impact of cancer research and translation in Singapore by bringing together key basic, clinical and translational teams on joint platforms to actively establish and implement collaborative cancer programmes. STCC is part of the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS) umbrella of research-related business entities and is supported by the National Research Foundation, Singapore (NRF) and the Singapore Ministry of Health through the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Office, MOH Holdings Pte Ltd.

 

STCC; a nationally coordinated consortium to synergise cancer research capabilities in Singapore, brings together unmatched basic, clinical, and translational talent in Singapore to create globally significant peaks of excellence in selected Asian cancers.

 

STCC's five joint platforms – Cancer Clinical Trials and Investigational Medicine Units, Cancer Databases and Tissue Banks, Translational Research Integration and Support, Business Intelligence and Development, and Impact and Population Health – provide an enabling research and innovation environment driven to foster translational research and meaningful outcomes for society.

 

Through collaborative relationships with our partner institutions [comprising of National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), National University Hospital (NUH), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)],  and by capitalizing on the strengths of industry and academia, STCC is uniquely poised to develop initiatives that are aligned with Singapore's goals in value-based healthcare innovation and economic value creation.

 

About the Role

The Programme Manager will support the STCC Programme Office in coordinating and executing key translational research programmes, while facilitating collaboration across STCC platforms. The role aims to strengthen STCC’s ability to deliver multi-institutional programmes and improve alignment between clinical, research, data, and industry-facing activities. The incumbent will work across programmes and platforms, with scope to progressively take on greater responsibility as familiarity with STCC’s operations increases. The role will also support improved coordination across programmes and platforms to enable more efficient translation of STCC capabilities into research and collaboration outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Programme Coordination & Execution

  • Support planning and execution of STCC programmes by:
    • Developing and tracking workplans, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Coordinating stakeholders across institutions and platforms.
  • Follow up on action items to ensure steady progress of programmes.
  • Provide support to programme leads to achieve defined objectives.

 

Cross-Platform Coordination

  • Facilitate coordination across STCC platforms for programme implementation.
  • Work with platform managers, leads and other stakeholders to:
    • Align activities where programmes involve multiple platforms.
    • Clarify roles and responsibilities.
  • Identify coordination issues or bottlenecks and escalate where appropriate.

 

Platform and Collaboration Support

  • Support platforms in linking their capabilities with programme and collaboration needs
  • Assist in preparation of materials or proposals for internal and external collaborations
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders for partnership-related activities

 

Programme Office Coordination & Leadership Support

  • Support overall Programme Office coordination, including:
    • Programme tracking and reporting
    • Preparation and coordination of meetings
    • Documentation and follow-up on action items
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal and external discussions and meetings
  • Support coordination of key initiatives across stakeholders and ensure timely follow-through
  • Contribute to improving processes and workflows within the Programme Office to enhance efficiency and clarity
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through to completion with minimal supervision.
