The Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC) aims to strengthen the overall impact of cancer research and translation in Singapore by bringing together key basic, clinical and translational teams on joint platforms to actively establish and implement collaborative cancer programmes. STCC is part of the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS) umbrella of research-related business entities and is supported by the National Research Foundation, Singapore (NRF) and the Singapore Ministry of Health through the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Office, MOH Holdings Pte Ltd.

 

STCC; a nationally coordinated consortium to synergise cancer research capabilities in Singapore, brings together unmatched basic, clinical, and translational talent in Singapore to create globally significant peaks of excellence in selected Asian cancers.

 

STCC's five joint platforms – Cancer Clinical Trials and Investigational Medicine Units, Cancer Databases and Tissue Banks, Translational Research Integration and Support, Business Intelligence and Development, and Impact and Population Health – provide an enabling research and innovation environment driven to foster translational research and meaningful outcomes for society.

 

Through collaborative relationships with our partner institutions [comprising of National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), National University Hospital (NUH), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)],  and by capitalizing on the strengths of industry and academia, STCC is uniquely poised to develop initiatives that are aligned with Singapore's goals in value-based healthcare innovation and economic value creation.

 

About the Role
The ideal candidate will play a dual role in strategic management and marketing, driving STCC’s strategic priorities in alignment with the national agenda while strengthening STCC’s visibility and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, and to deliver impactful campaigns and content that showcase STCC’s initiatives and achievements. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Strategic & Programme Coordination (40%)
    • Strategic Coordination & Governance: Partner with STCC leadership to coordinate strategic planning and execution across STCC Platforms and Tumour Groups, ensuring alignment on priorities, interdependencies and timelines.
    • Platform & Tumour Group Partnership: Work closely with Platform and Tumour Group leads to consolidate inputs, synthesize perspectives, and drive cross-platform coordination for key initiatives (e.g., workplans, deliverables, resourcing needs, and milestone sequencing).
    • Operational Translation: Translate strategic visions into clear, actionable workflows for the operations team, ensuring that strategic plans are operationalized effectively and consistently from concept to execution.
    • Progress Tracking & Reporting: Establish structured mechanisms to track progress across Platforms and Tumour Groups, ensuring visibility against milestones and deliverables. Surface risks or misalignments early, facilitate mitigation discussions, and align stakeholders to maintain strategic momentum and delivery confidence.
    • Academic alliance management: support academic stakeholders by coordinating technical inputs from Platforms/Tumour Groups for partner-facing discussions.

 

  • Marketing & Communications (50%)
    • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote STCC programmes, events, and initiatives across multiple channels and stakeholder groups.
    • Manage brand positioning and ensure consistent, compelling messaging that resonates with researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and the broader healthcare community across all platforms and communications.
    • Oversee STCC’s social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn) and website, ensuring timely and engaging content updates.
    • Create and curate content such as posts, articles, videos, and infographics to effectively communicate complex research to varied audiences.
    • Monitor analytics and optimize campaigns for reach and impact.
    • Work closely with STCC platforms, Partnering Business Units and CRIS Corporate Communications to produce newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.
    • Coordinate outreach activities to strengthen STCC’s presence among stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and industry partners.

 

  • Event Management (5%)
    Support marketing for conferences, workshops, and community engagement events, including planning, promotion, and post-event coverage.

 

  • Administrative Support (5%)
    Assist with budget tracking for marketing activities and procurement of marketing-related services.
     

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health science, Business, or related field.
  • Proven track record in marketing or social media management
  • Prior experience in healthcare or science sector is a plus
  • Prior experience in a marketing role within a research institute, biotechnology, or biopharmaceutical company is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and analytics.
  • Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented team player.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
