CADENCE
The Cardiovascular Disease National Collaborative Enterprise (CADENCE) is a national program for Cardiovascular Research that aims to strengthen the overall impact of cardiovascular research and translation in Singapore through: (1) synergising efforts across Singapore through the establishment of Joint Platforms to improve patient outcomes and establish Singapore as a global leader in cardiovascular disease (CVD) research; (2) overcoming common barriers to research at the systems level; (3) driving commercialisation efforts; and (4) demonstrating the power of these synergies through a series of practice-changing Use Cases.
CADENCE will be housed as a business unit within the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH) Pte Ltd and anchored by the CVD research programmes and commercialization platforms of partner institutions (MOHT, NHCS & NHRIS, NUHCS & CVRI, NHG Heart Institute, KTPH, A*STAR, NUS, Duke-NUS, LKC).
Role:
The Assistant / Project Manager is part of the clinical operational team and/or Strategic Planning & Development Unit in CADENCE.
The Assistant / Project Manager will work alongside members of the project team to provide project management service for projects that fulfil eligibility criteria. The incumbent ensures that the project is completed on time, within budget and provide research support service for clinical trials/clinical research, in accordance to Good Clinical Practice, protocol requirements and applicable regulatory guidance. He/she oversees a project through conceptualisation, planning, execution, control and completion. This can include but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Able to lead project discussions independently, effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee and manage key projects, review progress, track KPI and draft progress updates.
- Ensure smooth and effective conduct of research projects according to applicable regulations by informed study teams.
- Stakeholders are receptive to, prepared for changes and within approved scope of project
- Resources are well allocated and utilized.
- Coordinate activities with a wide range of collaborators across Singapore and internationally.
- Have an understanding of the complex nature of the scientific, operational and logistic challenges will be an essential part of the role to find innovative and creative solution to complicated or multifacted problems when working with internal collaborators and external partners.
- Project team members are qualified and equipped with the required skillsets to perform the required tasks.
- Contributes to a proper research quality framework for implementation in CADENCE.
- Proper budgeting and accounting of research funds ensuring budget is sufficient for its intended purposes and project funds are expensed within budget and following proper financial policies / guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Life Science/ Pharmaceutical Science/ Clinical Trials Management
- At least 4 years relevant experience in clinical project management. Those with advance proficiency in project management and expert knowledge of ethic and regulatory management will be an advantage
- Proficient in using MS office Suit
- Team player with ability to multi-task with good time management
- Meticulous, self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good command of English, written skills for minutes and report writing
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to work after office hours (for international calls) and occasional weekend if required. Prior arrangement will be provided.
