Overview


The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) brings together six national R&D, clinical translation and service programmes to advance clinical research and innovation for Singapore and establish important capabilities for a future-ready healthcare system.

PRECision Health Research, SingaporE (PRECISE) is the central entity set up to coordinate a whole of government effort to implement Singapore's National Precision Medicine (NPM) strategy.

 

About the role

In this role, you will be part of the Business Development team and contribute to the development and implementation of PRECISE’s Enterprise strategy to create a strong and vibrant precision medicine ecosystem in Singapore. Specifically, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing public-private partnerships and other initiatives around the PRECISE-SG100K resource, a globally-unique and globally-competitive longitudinal multi-ancestry Asian population cohort dataset.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contract and relationship management with existing industry partners such as pharmaceutical, medtech, and biotech companies
  • Develop and manage contracts with relevant vendors for services and products
  • Engage with potential new industry partners
  • Deepen and broaden collaborations between key anchor industry partners and Singapore local ecosystem
  • Create initiatives leveraging PRECISE’s current industry platforms to engage and anchor innovative companies
  • Participate and assist in other PRECISE activities, such as secretariat role for key PRECISE meetings and other ad hoc duties assigned

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Life Sciences or a related field; a postgraduate degree (Master or Doctorate) is preferred
  • 2 - 6 years of working experience in relevant industry or in a science-business role
  • Working knowledge of contract laws and intellectual property is preferred
  • Good understanding of the technological and business trends in relevant sectors such as genomics and omics, informatics and data sciences, pharmaceutical and biotech, precision medicine
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Resourceful, quality conscious, results oriented and a team player
  • Able to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues, and manage them appropriately
  • Willing, adaptable and flexible to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description
