The Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation, Singapore (CRIS) brings together seven national R&D, clinical translation and service programmes to advance clinical research and innovation for Singapore, and establish important capabilities for a future-ready healthcare system.

The Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC) aims to strengthen the overall impact of cancer research and translation in Singapore by bringing together key basic, clinical and translational teams on joint platforms to actively establish and implement collaborative cancer programmes. STCC is part of the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS) umbrella of research-related business entities and is supported by the National Research Foundation, Singapore (NRF) and the Singapore Ministry of Health through the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Office, MOH Holdings Pte Ltd.

 

STCC; a nationally coordinated consortium to synergise cancer research capabilities in Singapore, brings together unmatched basic, clinical, and translational talent in Singapore to create globally significant peaks of excellence in selected Asian cancers.

 

STCC's five joint platforms – Cancer Clinical Trials and Investigational Medicine Units, Cancer Databases and Tissue Banks, Translational Research Integration and Support, Business Intelligence and Development, and Impact and Population Health – provide an enabling research and innovation environment driven to foster translational research and meaningful outcomes for society.

 

Through collaborative relationships with our partner institutions [comprising of National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), National University Hospital (NUH), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)],  and by capitalizing on the strengths of industry and academia, STCC is uniquely poised to develop initiatives that are aligned with Singapore's goals in value-based healthcare innovation and economic value creation.

 

About the Role

The Executive / Senior Executive will support STCC’s multi‑institutional translational research initiatives by providing coordinated project support, high‑quality clinical data acquisition and governance and ad‑hoc laboratory assistance at collaborator sites. The role plays a key part in ensuring the timely delivery, data integrity, and operational continuity of complex, multi‑stakeholder research projects across collaborating Healthcare Institutes.

 

This position is integral to advancing STCC’s mission of facilitating impactful translational clinical research through strong data stewardship, cross‑institutional coordination, and responsive operational support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support multi‑institutional research projects across collaborating Healthcare Institutes.
  • Track project milestones, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with agreed deliverables.
  • Facilitate meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders to support effective project execution.
  • Extract, curate, and validate clinical information from medical records in support of multi-institutional research projects.
  • Work closely with study teams to align on data fields, vocabulary standards, and case selection criteria.
  • Perform systematic data validation and discrepancy resolution to ensure accuracy and completeness of datasets.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and coordinating study documentation required for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
  • Provide ad‑hoc, need‑based laboratory or on‑site technical support at collaborator laboratories to facilitate specific research project activities.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of project‑critical laboratory or workflow issues that may affect data completeness or study deliverables.

 

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medical science or a related discipline preferred

 

Relevant Experience

  • Experience supporting clinical or translational research projects within a healthcare, academic medical centre, or research institute environment.
  • Hands‑on experience in clinical data extraction, curation and/or validation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with research governance and regulatory processes, including support for IRB or ethics submissions.
  • Prior experience working in a research or diagnostic laboratory environment, including providing technical or operational support under established protocols.
  • For Senior Executive level: demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and exercise judgement in prioritisation and issue resolution.
