Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE) is the central entity coordinating whole-of-government effort to implement Singapore's National Precision Medicine (NPM) strategy. As part of this initiative, PRECISE has partnered with the SG100K study, Southeast Asia’s most comprehensive population health study of 100,000 consented participants, to build the PRECISE-SG100K resource. This resource, with its comprehensive behavioral, phenotypic, and multi-omic data, represents a state-of-the art platform for researchers to understand Asian biology and to generate insights with the potential to improve health outcomes for Asian populations globally.

 

Given the significant value of the PRECISE-SG100K resource, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, enhancing PRECISE’s Research Strategy and optimising the utilisation of this resource.

 

About the role

 

As Programme Manager / Assistant Programme Manager in the Chief Scientific Officer’s Office (CSOO), you will work with the Project Management Team to support coordination with PRECISE’s research ecosystem in Singapore.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with PRECISE’s partners to promote utilisation of NPM resources and develop collaborative research plans;
  • Work as part of the CSOO Project Management Team in coordinating NPM research projects, ensuring proper documentation, implementation, and adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Support coordination of PRECISE’s data science and analytic capabilities in genomics, molecular epidemiology, computational biology, health informatics, precision medicine and precision health;
  • Lead the preparation of reports, presentation material and updates to various stakeholders;
  • Manage document repositories and collaborative platforms;
  • Coordinate meetings and perform secretariat duties as needed; and
  • Support colleagues from across PRECISE to deliver on their objectives and roles.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a PhD in Biomedical Sciences / Genomics / Bioinformatics / Data Science or MSc with relevant working experiences;
  • Relevant experience in research administration / research programme management is preferred;
  • Highly organised, fast learner, meticulous, resourceful and creative team player and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficient at stakeholder management and be a dynamic person to be able to communicate well with different personalities;
  • Able to use sound judgement and demonstrates initiative in carrying out assigned duties; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
