Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE) is the central entity set up to coordinate a whole of government effort to implement Phase II of Singapore's National Precision Medicine (NPM) strategy. As part of this strategy, PRECISE and Singapore's leading research institutes have jointly developed the extensive PRECISE-SG100K resource, comprising rich biobank phenotypic and whole genome sequencing datasets. The PRECISE-SG100K Data Science Team is now working towards data curation, data analysis and data generation of the PRECISE-SG100K resource.
About the role
PRECISE and our research partners will undertake and participate in a microbiome research project involving multiple public research institutions and an overseas university. We are hiring a research programme (microbiome) manager to support PRECISE Director of Corporate Services in executing this research programme. As the primary programme manager, you will manage and be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the research project, as well as the overall programme coordination and milestone management.
Responsibilities:
Project Initiation
- To initiate and set up key processes for the research project
- Collaborate with legal colleagues to facilitate and negotiate research collaboration agreement(s) with all relevant research partners and stakeholders
Project Management
- Assist Principal Investigators (PIs) and research team to resolve various roadblocks and issues
- Communicate regularly with PIs and research teams for project milestone management
- Coordinate with PIs and research teams for overall budget management
- Prepare power point presentations, research progress updates and budget utilisation report as required
Other Duties
- Perform other admin/ops related duties as assigned, e.g. taking on secretariat role for key meetings, organising seminars and symposia
Requirements:
- Degree in life sciences or a related field
- Strong competencies in programme management, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and resources in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, able to multi-task, proven problem-solving skills
- At least three (3) years of related experience in public research institutions or healthcare clusters
- Experience in preparing and reviewing research collaboration agreements preferred
- Demonstrated oral and written communication with the ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly
