The Singapore Translational Cancer Consortium (STCC) aims to strengthen the overall impact of cancer research and translation in Singapore by bringing together key basic, clinical and translational teams on joint platforms to actively establish and implement collaborative cancer programmes. STCC is part of the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation Singapore (CRIS) umbrella of research-related business entities.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

The ideal candidate will be part of the Strategic Planning and Development Office, supporting the implementation and execution of initiatives and activities within STCC. You will support the Programme Manager and work with stakeholders including researchers, clinicians, and external partners from government entities, private companies, and academic institutes, to drive the successful delivery of research initiatives. Your key tasks are:

  • Working cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders (e.g. CRIS and partners’ corporate communications teams, STCC platforms) on STCC public relations matters and outreachactivities (e.g. set up and maintain the STCC LinkedIn, LinkedIn content creation, planning and gathering and related activities, enhance, update and maintain the website, create marketing collaterals such as EDM and newsletters, dissemination of marketing collaterals).
 
  • Undertaking secretariat role for meetings including but not limited to liaising with relevant stakeholders, drafting minutes and seeking necessary input and approvals, collating materials, circulating materials with meeting attendees, coordinating appointments for Board members and consultant panels, following up with presenters on meeting agenda.
  • Organising and coordinating meetings, events, retreats, activities, team building, new staff orientation, and related planning, preparation, logistics coordination and support, procurement, scheduling, and related follow ups.
  • Supporting the day-to-day admin/ops related activities (e.g. ad-hoc duties, reimbursement claims, scheduling), and performing the required follow ups, as assigned.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, public health, or business administration preferred.
  • Relevant work experience, preferrably in technical writing, public relations, outreach and/or organising events will be an advantage.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to understand concepts in cancer research and express technical information in a clear and concise written form.
  • Uses sound judgement and demonstrates initiative in carrying out assigned duties.
  • Self-starter, able to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly organised, meticulous, and creative problem-solver who works well independently as well as in a team.
  • Able to quickly adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
