Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications

As part of the CRIS Corporate Communications team, you will develop and drive end-to-end communications and engagement strategy for CRIS and its business units to communicate its strategic goals and ensure a unified message. This includes shaping the CRIS narrative by delivering inspiring and engaging communications to illustrate CRIS’s goals in keeping Singapore at the forefront of innovation by bringing together key national research programmes that will advance clinical research and innovation for Singapore and establish important capabilities for a future-ready healthcare system.

You will be involved in a wide range of communications work, including corporate branding, digital marketing and communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement and event management. Some examples include strengthening the CRIS identity, developing visual content for internal and external communications, rolling out publicity for CRIS's key initiatives via digital channels and mainstream media, and providing communications support to the various teams and key stakeholders in CRIS.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan and execute media strategies for high key events by CRIS and Business Units. Draft press releases, ensure clearance with multiple stakeholders and liaise with media outlets
  • Support the department’s public relations and media engagement efforts through media pitches
  • Gather, produce and write effective communications and marketing features. This will include working with internal teams and stakeholders for information gathering
  • Plan and manage external agencies / vendors to develop campaigns / programmes to achieve communications objectives 
  • Support the team in cross-team projects and partnerships (i.e. MOUs, awards, corporate events and visits), and align these with the communications strategy to promote the goals of CRIS and its BUs
  • Provide operational, administration and logistical support where required (vetting publicity materials, and developing communications-related working instructions and protocols for CRIS etc.)



  • At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or related work, including media relations, digital communications, and marketing communications
  • Experience with media relations with strong media contacts database is preferred
  • Experience in digital media content creation, curation and platform management (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Proficient in editorial copywriting, speech writing, and digital communications, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts and technologies in an engaging way
  • Possess strong project management and critical thinking skills. Ability to lead and execute projects independently, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the project runs smoothly, achieving the key objectives and goals set.
  • A strong team player, self-motivated and able to multi-task well
  • Proactive with an excellent eye for detail
  • Experience in Government sector and Healthcare research (or related) industry will be advantageous
